PassPack Announces a Free-For-Now on Upgraded Accounts

Online Password Manager Honors Customers by Releasing Upgrade Early, Free

According to a Microsoft Study, Internet users average 25 accounts requiring passwords. A growing number of PassPack users exceed the 100 passwords limit on their free accounts, with some claiming over ten times as many passwords as the average web user.

PassPack, an online password manager, surprised subscribers by announcing a temporary free upgrade from their base account.

With a premium subscription launching in early 2008, users who elect for the free upgrade now will be able to either subscribe for a low recurring fee or downgrade back to the free account and owe nothing.

To take advantage of this opportunity, customers need only fill up their accounts as usual. Once they reach the storage limit, PassPack will automatically offer them the free-for-now upgrade.

“PassPack has attracted over 10,000 users in 110 countries. These are people who do everything online - the shear number of logins they need to store attests to that fact,” explains PassPack co-founder Tara Kelly, “using an online password manager like PassPack makes switching computers and traveling seamless - PassPack subscribers have the same safe, cross platform, easy access to their passwords from any computer in the world.”

PassPack protects data with a two-step login process, browser-side AES-256 encryption and anti-phishing technology while making users’ lives easier with 1 Click Login into most websites.

“People are begging us for bigger accounts now. To honor the commitment that PassPack users have to the company and to show we’re listening, we’re not making them wait until the commercial launch in 2008,” says Kelly.
