Passpack’s Servers Move to Canada

Passpack’s servers no longer reside in Switzerland – we have moved to a data center in Canada. We are progressively strengthening the backend which requires a stronger architecture. After some searching, we found one.

Users may have felt some light turbulence along this bumpy Transatlantic trip, one of which has been the 1Click Login. There are still a few things to iron out but not to fret we have been trying to make the transition as smooth as possible for you (though some of our North American friends may notice some improvement in speed!).

If you have any questions or if you’ve run into any odd behavior, don’t hesitate to contact us.

This would the explain the extreme sluggish response times I get lately when loading Passpack here in Australia. It’s quite painful compared to how fast is previously loaded, bur luckily the Desktop version on AIR works a charm, except for the “Check for update” not returning a message any more.

@GrrYumYum Sorry to hear that your response times are slower. Fingers crossed – by this time next year, we’ll have servers all over the world ;-)

As for the “Check for update” – have you created a ticket about that? If not, you can here

Wow, Passpack is just getting better and better all the time. Keep up the great work.

I’m not too concerned with the “Check for update” link, since I can go to the site and see if there’s a new version. I’m sure it will get fixed in the next release in any case.
